On behalf of an established organisation, we are looking for a Group Accounting Manager to take responsibility for the daily management and continued development of the accounting function.

This is a key finance leadership role combining operational responsibility, people leadership, process development, and financial governance. You will play an important role in ensuring high-quality financial operations while continuing to strengthen the way the finance function works.

Your role

As Group Accounting Manager, you will lead and develop the accounting function and ensure high-quality and timely financial deliveries.

You will be responsible for the team and become an important sparring partner to finance leadership and stakeholders across the organisation.

The role combines responsibility for stable accounting operations with a clear development agenda. You will challenge existing ways of working, strengthen financial processes, and contribute to creating a more efficient and scalable finance function.

Your key responsibilities include:

• Lead, coach, and develop the accounting team.

• Ensure accurate and timely monthly, quarterly, and annual closing.

• Maintain high quality in accounting operations and financial reporting.

• Strengthen internal controls and financial governance.

• Develop and standardise financial processes and workflows.

• Collaborate with auditors and key internal stakeholders.

• Contribute to budgeting, forecasting, and management reporting.

• Support the continued development of financial systems and digital workflows.

• Provide financial sparring across the organisation.

Your profile

You have a strong accounting background and solid experience from a finance or accounting function with a certain level of organisational complexity.

We expect you to have:

• A relevant financial education or equivalent professional background.

• Solid leadership experience from an accounting or finance function.

• Experience leading and developing finance professionals.

• Strong experience with financial closing and reporting.

• Experience improving financial processes and internal controls.

• A good understanding of financial governance and compliance.

• Experience working with modern financial and ERP systems.

• Strong analytical and digital skills.

• Professional communication skills in Danish and English.

Your specific industry background is less important than your ability to understand a complex organisation and create structure, quality, and progress.
